Budget planner

An AI budget planner that still leaves you in control.

Pludo Ledger works as a budget planner and budgeting app in the same workspace as its expense tracker. Set weekly, monthly, or yearly budgets by category, track savings and spending goals, and ask Plu to help set up or adjust a budget when you want it done faster.

01

Budgets that follow your categories

Create budgets against the categories and accounts you already use for expense tracking, on a weekly, monthly, or yearly cycle. Budgets update from the transactions you record or approve, so progress reflects your real activity instead of a separate estimate.

Because budgets share data with the rest of the app, moving between manual tracking, reports, and budget review does not require re-entering anything.

01

Weekly, monthly, and yearly budgets

Set the cadence that matches how you actually plan and review spending.

02

Category-level limits

Budget against the same categories used across transactions and reports for consistent numbers.

03

Savings and spending goals

Create a goal with a target, and follow progress alongside your everyday budgets.

04

Recurring payments included

Keep known bills and subscriptions visible so a budget reflects committed spending, not just what has already happened.

02

Ask Plu to help plan a budget

Plu can work with the financial context you select to help set up a new budget, adjust an existing one, or explain why a category is over or under its limit. Ask it to prepare a supported budget change and review the result before it is saved; destructive changes require confirmation.

Plu is optional for budgeting. Every budget and goal can be created and edited manually with no AI involved, the same as the rest of Pludo Ledger.

01

Plain-language budget setup

Describe what you want to budget for and let Plu prepare the categories and limits for review.

02

Explanations, not just numbers

Ask why a budget moved and get an answer built from the transactions behind it.

03

Manual editing stays available

Open any budget or goal in the manual workspace to adjust it directly, any time.

03

A budget planner without a bank connection

Budgets in Pludo Ledger are built from the records you enter or approve, not from an automatic bank feed. This suits people who want to decide exactly what counts toward a budget, track accounts a bank cannot see, or avoid connecting financial accounts to a third-party aggregator at all.

Because core records begin in device storage, you can also use the budget planner as a fully local, bank-free tool if you leave AI disabled.
